Himachal Government launches Mukhyamantri Van Vistar Yojana to help prevent landslides

Mukhyamantri Van Vistar Yojana:-  Mukhyamantri Van Vistar Yojana To promote greenery and protect the environment in Himachal Pradesh, a new scheme has been announced by the Chief Minister of the state Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu on July 25, 2023. The name of which is Chief Minister Forest Expansion Scheme. The Chief Minister’s Forest Expansion Scheme has been announced to prevent landslides in Himachal.

Through this scheme, the conservation of land and landslides will help in preventing soil and stones from sliding down the mountain slope. The scheme has been approved by Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu in the cabinet meeting.

The decision to launch the Mukhyamantri Van Vistar Yojana has been taken by Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu in a cabinet meeting held at the state secretariat on July 25, 2023. Himachal Pradesh Mukhyamantri Van Vistar Yojana

The main objective of launching the Chief Minister’s Mukhyamantri  Van Vistar Yojana by the Himachal Pradesh Government is to promote complete green cover by planting trees in all such districts of the state where barren peaks and hills are located.

Through this scheme, not only tree plantation will be done in the state but work will also be done for their maintenance. For plantation and maintenance work in the selected areas will be done by the government on an outsourced basis. In which local people will also be provided employment. This will not only, directly and indirectly, benefit the people of the state but will also benefit the environment.
